If you are what you should be, you will set the whole world on fire!
When they went to burn her at the stake
for some religious trespass
(but really for being an outspoken woman)
the fire did not take to her flesh immediately.
Sparks started to shoot off around her head
like a halo of explosives.
At first, they were pin pricks of light,
little fireworks that appeared to be
fueled by her last thoughts.
Then they grew larger and larger
until they surrounded her completely.
Outlined in fire, she felt the
full strength of her power.
She would be remembered as the
woman who did not burn, but illuminated instead.
She gasped her last
and then grinned
and exploding into the night sky.
